Parent carers live a different life, we are suddenly in meeting with professionals, fighting fights we never trained for.

Then one day, when I started to find my voice to speak up, I was told that I wasn't qualified to speak up, I was told that

I wasn't qualified to make the statements I had been. I was simply making claims.

So with my opinion and lived experience dismissed, I got qualified.

 

With my framed collection of papers you can imagine the situation of still being met by closed doors.

Years into the waves of send, being neglected as an emotively driven parent rather than a professional.

The record of not being good enough being relentless overplayed, I stepped into not one, but two roles.

One within the NHS and one a Government backed training program.
